The touring exhibition "What’s old anyway?" in Sejong City Hall, South Korea
(29 October – 2 November 2018)

After the ASEM-Conference in September, the exhibition had its following station in South Korea in the City Hall of Sejong. The Korea University Sejong Campus was presenter of the exhibition in the City Hall of Sejong. Together with the German Ambassador Mr. Weert Börner and the Deputy Mayor of Sejong and the Vice-President of the Korea University Sejong-Campus,  the exhibition was opened by a traditional ceremony on 29 October. Not only members of the Korea University Sejong-Campus and representatives of local politics joined the exhibition in the City Hall of Sejong, but also a lot of international visitors, students and Korean senior citizens visited the exhibition and discussed about the photos of the "Images of Ageing"-program.


The touring exhibition "What’s old anyway?" in Seoul, South Korea (5 – 7 September 2018)

The exhibition accompanied the "3rd ASEM Conference on Global Ageing and Human Rights of Older Persons" in Seoul. The ASEM-Conference was hosted by the National Human Rights Commission of Korea and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea and aims to advance the promotion of the human rights of older persons by discussing about age-discrimination. Delegations from European and Asian countries visited the exhibition "What’s old anyway?" -  so, the Conference discussions were accompanied by the impressions of the various "Images of Ageing". 


The touring exhibition "What’s old anyway?" in New York, UN Headquarters (23 – 26 July 2018)

In July, the exhibition was presented during the 9th session of the OEWG-A (United Nations Open-ended Working Group on Ageing). The OEWG-A is a working group of the United Nations that takes place every year with focus on strengthening the rights of older persons and fighting against discrimination because of age.
In cooperation with Ambassador Schulz, Ambassador and OEWG-A-chair Moritán and Prof. Dr. von Schwanenflügel (BMFSFJ), the exhibition was opened by a reception on 23 July 2018 in UN Headquarters. The touring exhibition accompanied the OEWG-A-session until 26 July 2018 and in this way, the participants of the OEWGA – delegations of all UN-member states and NGO’s - were invited to discuss about their ideas of "images of age" outside the working group-sessions.


The touring exhibition "What’s old anyway?" in Strasbourg, Council of Europe (21 June 2018)

The exhibition accompagnied the 89th Meeting of the Council of Europe’s Steering Committee for Human Rights (CDDH) in the AGORA building of the Council of Europe. The visitors from all European countries enjoyed the various positive aspects of an active old age today.
